A Memorable Start: POSSA UG Welcomes Freshers with Insightful Orientation and Honors Faculty Excellence
Freshers’ Orientation organized by the Political Science Students’ Association (POSSA) UG at the ISSER Auditorium was a highly insightful and impactful event, aimed at warmly welcoming and guiding new students into both academic and social life on campus. Held on the 6th of February, 2026, the program featured a number of distinguished personalities whose presence greatly enriched the experience, including Alhaji Aliu Fawaz, Alhaji Adam Sulley, Jeffrey Adu-Yeboah, Prof. Rosina Foli, Prof Emmanuel Yeboah-Assiamah and Prof. Isaac Owusu Mensah.
Through engaging speeches and interactive sessions, the organizers, executives, and invited dignitaries shared valuable insights on leadership, academic excellence, and personal development. These contributions left the freshers both motivated and well-informed.
Overall, the orientation successfully laid a strong foundation for the students, making it a memorable and meaningful start to their university journey.
POSSA also took the opportunity to honor three faculty members of the Department who were promoted to the rank of Associate Professor at the same time. This remarkable achievement marks the first occurrence of such a milestone within both the Department and the School of Social Sciences, making it a historic and proud moment for the entire academic community.
